Artist: Sweet Damage Crew

For the first time at Spotlight Festival, the artists from Sweet Damage Crew switch the spray cans and paint brushes for light art, street art for light projections and exhibit for the first time on the Art Deco architecture of the Telephone Palace. The work created especially by Sweet Damage Crew for the Spotlight – Geometry of the City edition is called Structural and creates compositions with a strong impact, using lines, geometrical shapes, colours, textures, and the relationships between them.

The graffiti artists who have been beautifying Romanian cities with spectacular murals for over 20 years, Sweet Damage Crew is one of the most famous urban artist teams in Romania. With an international activity, multiple awards at national and international street art festivals and recurring exhibitions in art galleries in the country, SDC is made up of seven artists – painters, muralists, product designers, architects, art graduates, but also self-taught. After having started, as teenagers, with drawings and tags in abandoned areas in the city, the SCD artists Biex, Cage, Recis, Lost.Optics, Boeme, Pandele, Shatran colour the city through street art for the community, art education projects and street art festivals.
