Phénix, inspired by the mythological creature, symbolizes endangered species through its design, carrying a message of hope and renewal, illustrating the possibility of rising from the ashes and saving these vulnerable birds. The installation features a metal structure animated by LED mapping, where each edge transitions dynamically in shape and color. Surrounding facades interact with the display, while an audio-visual loop, accompanied by bird sounds, creates a contemplative atmosphere, inviting viewers on a reflective journey.

Trained as an architect, Julien Menzel thinks in terms of light and kinetics: light and interactive installations, augmented drawings, and scenography are his means of expression. His work is marked by a great sensitivity to forms, materials, and their plastic qualities. From small-scale works to monumental scenographic installations, his works invite us to enter into a dialogue with what already exists and to immerse ourselves in luminous spaces.
