Anastasia Isachsen

Artist, Director of Fjord Oslo Light Festival (Norvegia)

Anastasia Isachsen is a visual artist and curator based in Oslo, Norway, specializing in digital media, video art, and light art for cultural projects. Her work spans a wide range of contexts both in Norway and internationally, including installations, festivals, concerts, theatre productions, dance performances, and exhibitions.

After establishing her independent artistic practice in Delhi in 2009 and later in Oslo in 2011, she has worked across disciplines with musicians, theatre directors, poets, choreographers, and other creatives. This emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration lies at the core of her artistic approach, enabling her to craft immersive and emotionally resonant experiences that transcend the purely visual.

Anastasia Isachsen’s works are recognized internationally for their poetic precision, philosophical depth, emotional resonance, and technical excellence. Through meticulous execution, she creates art that is both captivating and contemplative — blending innovative technology with a deep human sensitivity.

Alongside her personal artistic practice, she is the founder and artistic director of Fjord Studio, through which she curates and produces light art projects in Norway and abroad. Fjord Studio is also the driving force behind Fjord Oslo, the light art festival she founded to bring this art form to the forefront of contemporary cultural expression.

Her vision is to promote light art as a vital form of contemporary art, merging emotional and intellectual depth with cutting-edge technology to explore the complexity and beauty of human experience.
